How do I get the best result from an old print?

Scan it, or photograph it flat in daylight without glare. Crop out the frame and keep the faces sharp.

Will it change their faces?

The photo is the first frame, so faces start true to the original. Movement can still shift small details: keep the gesture small and try a couple of times.

Can I animate a photo of someone else?

Only photos you have the right to use. For living people, ask them first.
