What Canva does well
- Millions of templates and a large stock library, for far more than video.
- Brand kits, resizing and social scheduling on Pro.
- Generated clips are edited in Canva's video editor, next to your designs.
- Paid plans keep text tools such as Magic Write and Translate outside the monthly AI allowance.
Which one should you pick?
Pick Canva if
- You already design everything in Canva and only need a clip now and then.
- Your video is mostly templates, stock footage and text.
- You want posts, slides and print under one subscription.
Pick Cirrela if
- You write in French: Canva's video clips take English prompts only.
- You want to know the cost: Canva's AI uses share one pool with no published exchange rate, Cirrela shows the credits before each render.
- Video is the main job: pick a quality level, and sound is included at every level.
Worth knowing
- We could not read Canva's own pricing page on October 31, 2026: it refused our reader, and a stored copy still showed an older $120. The $144 price comes from two reviews that read the page in September and October 2026, so check it at checkout. The Proof Desk, Canva review, October 10, 2026
- We also could not confirm a monthly Pro price. The same review reports about $18 a month from third-party trackers and tells readers to treat that as indicative. The Proof Desk, Canva review, October 10, 2026

Common questions
Can Canva make AI videos?
Yes. Canva AI makes clips with Google's Veo 3: 8 seconds with audio or 6 without, from English prompts. You then place the clip in a design.
How many AI videos do you get on Canva Pro?
Up to 20 a month if you use the shared allowance for nothing else, since each clip is one Ultra use. Canva's Free plan has no Ultra tools.
How much is Canva Pro?
Reviews read it at $144 a year for one person in September and October 2026. Prices differ by region and we could not read Canva's own page, so check the amount at checkout.
Should I replace Canva with Cirrela?
Probably not, if you design posts, slides and print. Cirrela only makes videos and images. Many people could keep Canva for layouts and make their video in Cirrela, then bring the file in.
